Brindo › Swipe to delete photos

Apps to swipe photos to delete, like Tinder

Updated 5 November 2026 · By the Brindo team

Short answer: yes. Brindo, Swipewipe and Slidebox show your photos one at a time, like Tinder: swipe right to keep, left to delete, then confirm the deletion in one go. Brindo also puts similar photos and duplicates on one card: keep your favourite, hold ✕ to remove the rest.

Going through thousands of photos one by one in the Photos app is tedious: tap, look, delete, back, repeat. Swiping makes it one decision per photo, and you can stop and pick up where you left off.

How swiping through photos works

  1. The app shows one photo at a time, usually newest first or month by month.
  2. Swipe right ♥ to keep it, left ✕ to remove it.
  3. Removed photos are collected, not deleted. At the end you look over them and delete them in one go.
  4. iOS asks you to confirm, and the deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

What makes Brindo different

Tips for swiping through a big camera roll

Questions people ask

Is there an app where you swipe through your photos to delete them?

Yes. Brindo, Swipewipe and Slidebox let you swipe through your camera roll: one direction keeps a photo, the other removes it. Brindo also brings similar photos together on one card, and you hold ✕ to remove the rest of a group.

Does swiping left delete the photo straight away?

In Brindo, no: a photo you swipe left waits in Brindo’s trash, and photos leave your iPhone only when you tap Delete there and confirm. Swipewipe and Slidebox also collect removed photos first and delete them when you confirm.

Is there a free app to swipe and delete photos, with no daily limit?

Brindo is free during its public beta, with no daily swipe limit and no ads. Swipewipe is free with a swipe limit, Flic gives 50 free swipes a day, and Slidebox is free with in-app purchases.

How long does it take to swipe through thousands of photos?

It depends on the pile, but each photo is one decision, and you can stop at any time. Brindo picks up where you left off, so you can do a month at a time.

Can I start with my oldest photos, or a certain month?

Yes. In Brindo, tap the date on a photo to choose where to start. It picks up where you left off next time.

Can I sort photos into albums while I swipe?

Yes. In Brindo, tap the album button on a photo to put it in one or more albums, which also keeps it.

Can I get back a photo I swiped away by mistake?

In Brindo, tap Undo, or open Brindo’s trash and send the photo back for another look. After you delete, the photo stays in Recently Deleted in Photos for 30 days.
